Industrial belt on Bengaluru's southern edge

Bommasandra, Jigani and Attibele are industrial areas along the Hosur Road and Anekal corridor, with larger factories and warehouses than a typical small-unit estate. Many such plants have big, flat or low-slope roofs, steady daytime loads and high-tension connections, which suits rooftop solar well.

What larger plants need

At this scale the details matter more:

• Contract demand and connection. Plant size is limited by your sanctioned load or contract demand, and net metering is available between 1 kW and 1,000 kW under the KERC order of 25 August 2026.
• Structure. Roof strength, expansion joints and existing services decide how many panels fit and how they are mounted.
• Protection and synchronisation. Large plants need proper protection, and generator sets need reverse-power control.
• Approvals. Electrical inspectorate requirements apply to larger plants, and we confirm what your capacity needs at the start.

Rooftop or ground-mount?

Module rules to plan for

Net-metered plants can commission with an exemption from ALMM List-II (solar cells) until 31 December 2026. After that date, List-II applies, which in practice means modules with DCR cells. If you plan to commission near that date, we explain the cost and tariff effect.
